Anne Vogel is the Managing Director of Federal Energy Policy, in the office of Governmental Affairs at American Electric Power Company, Inc. Ms. Vogel works with senior executives to formulate, coordinate and implement the legislative and regulatory agenda at the federal and state level. She started with AEP in 2009 as Senior Counsel in the Finance and Securities group. In 2011, Ms. Vogel joined AEP Transmission as Manager of Strategy and Business Development, where she was instrumental in starting one of the first competitive transmission ventures to follow FERC’s Order 1000. In 2013, Ms. Vogel returned to the AEP Legal department to provide support for the newly-created competitive generation business. Prior to joining AEP, Ms. Vogel had a commercial litigation practice, and held a clerkship with the Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. Ms. Vogel holds a Bachelor of Arts from Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC; a law degree from Capital University in Columbus, OH, and a Masters of Business Administration from The Ohio State University.
