Over a quarter of Americans face high energy burdens, meaning they spend more than 6% of their annual income on heating and cooling. However, a new study coming out from Americans for a Clean Energy Grid (ACEG) and Grid Strategies finds that smart investments in transmission could save customers’ money on their electricity bills right away.

Furthermore, a new report being released by ACEG, Grid Strategies, and Grid United finds that interregional transmission lines will help regions meet their resource adequacy needs at lower cost, reducing the need to overbuild new within-region generation capacity and increasing reliability for electricity customers.
