Planning for the Future: FERC’s Opportunity to Spur More Cost-Effective Transmission Infrastructure

Washington D.C. — On Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 2:00pm EST, Americans for the Clean Energy Grid (ACEG) hosted a virtual webinar to introduce their new report, Planning for the Future: FERC’s Opportunity to Spur More Cost-Effective Transmission Infrastructure. The report calls on FERC to build on its previous orders and strengthen transmission planning through a new nationwide planning and cost allocation rule. The event included a discussion moderated by Rob Gramlich, Executive Director of ACEG, about the current need for new, comprehensive rulemaking to reform planning, cost allocation, oversight and governance as well as the benefits of an expanded grid.
