Transmission Time: The Case for Proactive Transmission Planning: An Update on the FERC ANOPR Reform Proceeding and Next Steps

On December 9, 2021 at 3:00pm EST, Americans for a Clean Energy Grid hosted another installment of Transmission Time, titled “The Case for Proactive Transmission Planning: An Update on the FERC Reform Proceedings and Next Steps.” Proactive planning was supported by 174 entities in response to FERC’s Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (ANOPR) relating to longer-term regional transmission planning, cost-allocation, and generator interconnection processes. Speakers discussed the proposed reforms, why proactive transmission planning is supported, and what this means for the future of transmission. The event was moderated by ACEG’s Executive Director Rob Gramlich, and featured the following panelists:
