December 5, 2022 (Washington, D.C.) — Americans for a Clean Energy Grid filed comments in response to the Department of Energy’s RFI on on its Energy Improvements in Rural or Remote Areas (ERA) program.
The ERA provides an opportunity for critical investments in grid resilience in rural and remote areas, including siting or new or upgrading of existing transmission and distribution lines. ACEG encouraged the Department to ensure the ERA guidelines support the financing and development of large-scale and high-capacity transmission solutions, which are critical to ensuring a reliable, resilience grid for all Americans.
