Friday, February 9, 2024 (Washington, D.C.) — Today, President Joe Biden has announced Willie Phillips as chair of Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). ACEG Executive Director Christina Hayes released the following statement:
“Congratulations to Willie Phillips on becoming full chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Over the last year, he has shown strong leadership and commitment to clean, affordable, and reliable energy policy. We look forward to working with him and the full commission to enact, among other policies, a strong and durable regional transmission planning rulemaking that can improve grid reliability, lower customer costs, and drive economic development into the future.”
