(Washington, D.C.) On August 26, ACEG filed comments with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) in support of Invenergy’s request in Docket No. AD22-13 to hold a technical conference exploring ways to recognize and compensate grid reliability and resilience benefits associated with interregional HVDC merchant transmission. ACEG believes that Invenergy has raised critical questions in its request for a technical conference and supports the Commission taking up these issues.
Given the large number of transmission-related proceedings currently pending, ACEG deferred to the Commission to organize its proceedings as it sees fit. Broadly, ACEG encourages evaluation of merchant solutions as transmission issues are considered.
