April 3, 2026 (Washington, D.C.) — Americans for a Clean Energy Grid announced that Christina Hayes will conclude her service as Executive Director effective later this month.
During her tenure at ACEG, Hayes has been instrumental in strengthening ACEG’s role as a leading organization on transmission issues in Washington, D.C. Under her leadership, ACEG successfully advanced energy policy that will require cost-saving regional transmission planning, grew its supporter base and served as a tireless advocate with federal and state legislators and regulators to advance policies supporting an expanded, cleaner, and more durable electric grid.
“On behalf of the ACEG Board, I want to extend our gratitude to Christina for her contributions to advancing clean energy transmission,” said Patrick Hughes, President of the ACEG Board of Directors. “We know Christina will continue to be a strong and effective advocate for transmission in the years ahead and wish her all the best in her future endeavors.”

The ACEG Board will conduct a search for ACEG’s next Executive Director and will share more information in the coming weeks. ACEG looks forward to continuing to build on the organization’s strong foundation to advance policies that enable clean energy transmission to meet the nation’s growing energy needs.
