Christina Hayes, Executive Director of Americans for a Clean Energy Grid, released the following statement on the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022:
Americans for a Clean Energy Grid applauds Senators Manchin and Schumer for reaching an agreement on the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, which includes new funding to finance and accelerate federal and state permitting for transmission lines. By delivering low-cost clean energy to consumers, the buildout of large-scale transmission would decrease the average electric bill by more than one-third, saving a typical household more than $300 per year.
